Standards Compliancy
This site is dedicated to maintaining international web standards - predominantly those set out by the World Wide Web Consortium (also known as the W3C). As such we invite you to test this site's standards compliancy by following the button links below. If any of the results come back with errors, please let us know so that we can keep this site working perfectly for you.
Validate XHTML 1.1- XHTML is the latest standard for publishing content online. Version 1.1 is the most recent recommendation of this standard. This button link opens a new window to the W3C's Markup Validation Service. If this page validates, the results should display the text "This Page Is Valid XHTML 1.1!" after the page heading.
Validate CSS 2.0- CSS allows for the separation of form and content on the internet. It also enhances a web page's usability and allows for greater accessibility. Version 2.0 is the most recent recommendation of this standard. This button link opens a new window to the W3C's CSS Validation Service. If this page validates, the results should display the text "Congratulations! This document validates as CSS!" after the page heading.
Validate Links- This button link opens a new window to the W3C's Link Checker. This service checks that all the links on the site are valid. It may return warnings for certain links - these are most probably the one of the validation services themselves!
Accessibility- This button link opens a new window to the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0. The aim of this site is to provide a Level Triple-A Conformance to the guidelines where HTML is used. Where documents are made available in other formats, conformance has not been achieved. If you find an area of the site that does not meet these requirements, please contact us and we will endeavour to rectify the ommission as soon as possible.
